Making jam is the safest way to natural nutrition. It is homemade, from seasonal fruits or flowers, picked at the peak of their vitality, and you can choose what to add to it, to keep it as “green” as it can be!
The area in and around Milia Mountain Retreat is full of trees and plants that provide us with their precious treasures, just asking from us to keep it natural and tasty without additives nor chemicals.
Starting with fresh fruit that we have picked from the trees that surround Milia, chop and prepare, boil in a “tsikali” (cauldron in Cretan) and then everything comes to its final end, a yummy, spreadable jam. The absolute goal in jam-making is to end up in a not-too-juicy, not-too-tough togetherness. How to do that? Our facilitator, a local wise woman who belongs to the family of the owners of Milia, says it is Love that makes the difference. To get you to that result, though, she will have to start by giving you the recipe and tactics of the craft!
Join us in this hands-on experience of jam making, prepare, taste, and take some with you, if it’s left!
